So i don't really stress the whole aging process, i'm not someone who would ever do botox even if i had the money, but i wanted to start getting into eye creams to help prevent pre aging and hopefully repair some damage. I have small eyes and their shape caused me to develop wrinkles because when i smile my eyes crease alot:
(side note, i like this color combo, wonder which shadows i used...i think Nyx)
see, soo bad, ugh. Luckily i dont have crows feet. Yet. Anyhoo i was in a chat with Ricebunny on ustream (she is soo sweet and pretty, love her!) 2 weeks ago and she recommended LaMer eye cream (umm yeah, $145 for that lil jar? don't think so) but if you wanted something more affordable she said buy ROC which is a drugstore brand. Now i normally don't go out and buy things people recommend right away, but i actually had an ex who used this stuff and he was religious about it and i had been curious about it back then but the price deterred me (their products average about $20 i think) since i was a student and i was only curious about it. Well now that i'm an old biddy :) i decided to go ahead and make the purchase and see what it was all about. They have a few eye creams so the one i decided to try out was the correxion eye cream

This cream claims to reduce wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness.
Well my initial impression was this is a super light and fast absorbing cream. You really need jus a small amount on the tip of your finger and just pat it into the skin. Also the great thing is i have very sensitive skin around my eyes and it didnt irritate it at all which i was very happy about.
Now when i woke up the next morning OMG! my eyes are PUFFY. Puffy like "you need to go to the doctor" puffy. In all fairness i had only had about 4-5 hrs sleep because it was so hot and humid, and i get alittle puffy in that kind of weather, but isnt this stuff supposed to reduce puffiness?? By the time i'd washed my face and showered the puffiness was gone but let me tell you it gave me a big fright because i thought i had an allergic reaction to the retinaol or something in the cream.
Even though i had the scare i continued to use the cream since the puffiness went away, and it didnt cause any skin irritation. I have used it semi religiously for almost 2 weeks now and i haven't had an experience like that again which leads me to believe it was just the combo of little sleep and heat that caused it to happen. So far i havent seen any improvements in the wrinkles around my eyes, however i honestly didnt expect this cream to do much since the wrinkles come from my smiling and i smile alot. I had hoped it would ease some darkness as that was caused by allergies but no luck. Overall i would say this product did nothing for me at all other then moisturize. I don't want to say this product failed in its promises as i know i have some skin problems that maybe only a prescription strength product can fix. But i will say as a moisturizer it is very good.
Would i buy it again? No. Simply because it didn't do what i wanted and why spend $21 on a additional cream that moisturizes when i can use my normal face moisturizers which has SPF 15.
