They come in cognac and metallic silver and are $39.50. I love that they have a little rise in the back so that they are not completely flat

Okay so following up on my Ray Ban post, i wanted to do a post on the best sunnies for your face shape. Now keep in mind ladies, these are just general rules and sometimes you may find that something that is meant for a different face shape may actually look good on you anyway. the best thing to do is bring along a good and honest girlfriend, try on multiple styles (and take pics so you can see for yourself) to find what works for you.
Click on the pics below to see which style shades are recommended for the face shapes

Ok so i have been struck by a new obsession with sunglasses. Actually it's really a dormant obsession that has suddenly decided to wake up and drive me super crazy. I have always loved aviators and lucky for me they work with my face shape (yay for me!). ooh that makes me think i should do a post on the best shape sunnies for you face (note to self!). Anyhoo, the sunnies below are the ones that i have been eyeing for the last 3 weeks or so, check them out and let me know what you think!
All the glasses listed below just happen to be $130

Since i posted about cute spring dresses its only natural that i was also on the hunt for sandals and accessories to accompany the cute dresses that i found. For me Nine West is always a great place to find cute sandals that are comfy and affordable as well. They also have a great line of bags and clutches that are stylish as well as budget friendly. Here are some pieces that caught my eye:
sitting pretty satchel $89 (also avail in bluem, lime-yellow, and peachy brown)
Keaton clutch $ on sale $29.99 (originally $69.99)
FInaldi Clutch on sale $19.99 (originally $59.99)
Flying High Satchel $79.99 (originally $99.99)
Kentaro studded sandal $89 (too high a heel for me but i love them so!)
Jai peep toe $89 (another shoe too high for me, but i really likey)
Nick Sandals $79 (a heel i can work with!)
Snooks Sandal $89 (another too high heel, but i am madly in love! for this shoe, i will learn to walk in 4 inch heels!)
Nile Slingback $79
I think it's pretty obvious that where shoes are concerned, i have a neutral thing going on. It has nothing to do with trends (is neutral the new trend? or was it the old one? im soo oblivious) but more of a practically issue. I need shoes that will go with various outfits especially since i seem to be on a color revival in my closet which is mostly black or navy blue.
Ughh, somebody stop me, its only February and i have like 3 shopping lists for the spring/summer already. It's looking like this summer is going to be a shopfest as usual! Bye bye New Years Resolution!

NYMag.com has a great slideshow featuring bags ranging from $16-$4K+ that was guest edited by BagSnob. They have 160 different bags (clutchs hobo's and duffles) all for our viewing pleasure. Check it out: NYMAG.COM Bag Slideshow
This Peaks & Plateau Bag $248 (available at Anthropologie) definitely stood out to me as a must have.

So did the James Hobo by Botkier (available @ Saks) $595. I love the pearlish sheen in pink

Ughh, i have no self control when it comes to shoes and bags. I promised myself i wouldn't shop as much this year.

I love Coach shoes. For me i think they have great styles and they are definitely affordable and fit well within my budget. While browsing their site I spotted a couple of sandals this weekend that i definitely have my eye on as must haves for my closet.
Annissa Sandal $398 (also available in "natural" which looks like a tan snakeskin print)
Jenkins Pump $328 (also available in "natural", tan snakeskin print)
Trixie Wedge $188 (also available in black)
I am definitely head over heels in love with the Trixie Wedge and the Annissa Sandal. I waver back and forth on the Jenkins though. One minute i love it the next i am just in like. I just i will leave it up to fate, if they still have my size when i have the funds to buy them then i will buyu the Jenkins. If not, then it wasn't meant to be.

So i am definitely on a jewelry kick this month, i seem tostumble upon all these fabulous designers that i have never heard of before like Amrita Singh. Amrita designs Old world meets New world indian jewelry that is very beautiful and unique. Amrita's store is based in NYC however she does have an online boutique Amrita Singh. She has a wide range of earrings, rings and bracelets (the bracelets are to die for!) that are very affordable as well as breathtaking. She also has handbags, sandals and hair accessories , but quite honestly the jewelry is the best thing on the site. The only negative is the return policy: no returns unless the product is defective. So be sure that whatever you buy is something you will love.
Mallika Earrings originally $100 sale $50
Small Hammered Teardrop Earring $40
Gold crystal Bangle with round colored stones $18-50 each
3 piece Bamboo Bangle set originally $100 sale $20
Cori Ring originally $175 sale $50
Hattusa Ring originally $175 sale $50
Oh man, thank god i resolved to restrain my spending this year because i would totally buy everything on this site!

I am not a big jewelry wearing person (usually i wear a watch and a pair of earrings and i'm good to go), however i love checking it out and imagining how a little necklace or a chunky ring will add a little kick to my outfit. I cam across an article for Jeanine Payer's jewelry line over 3 years ago and i bookmarked her site so i wouldn't lose it as back then i wouldnt afford to spend so much money on single pieces of jewelry ( i still cant afford it but thats besides the point!). What draws me to her pieces is the simple design, and more importantly the little messages engraved on the pieces. I love positive affirmations and poetry, and the fact that all her jewelry has an inscription on it makes the pieces more personal and loveable in my opinion. Enough of my ramblings though, here is the link to her site: http://www.jeaninepayer.com/. Below are a few of my favorite pieces that i love.

inscription:
And a huge star is standing
Between the trunks of two trees
So tranquilly promising
the fulfillment of dreams.
-Anna Akhmatova

Inscription:
And thence we came forth to see again the stars.
-Dante Alighieri

Inscription:
For as long as it lasts let the singer be the song.
For as much as it's worth let the truth outweigh the lies.
For this single moment in time let my own voice be heard.
-Susan Stauter

Inscription:
The soul is here for its own joy.
-Rumi, trans. by Coleman Barks

Inscription:
live ever in a new day.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
